Carlos

Carlos started his career in radio in 1982 as a 15 year old schoolboy working on his local station in Swindon. He was Britain's youngest DJ and even appeared on Russell Harty's chat show.

Having worked in Stoke, Cardiff and Northampton, by 1993 he was attracting record audiences at Birmingham's biggest station, BRMB.

Eight years on the morning show at Heart in the Midlands followed, then a move south to Wave 105 in 2005, where once again he achieved record audience figures on the station's morning show, working alongside Coast colleagues Matt Hopper, Michelle Horn and 'the boss' John Clayton.

Now he's playing songs that he really loves every weekend here on The Coast. Carlos said, "After almost 30 years on the radio it's great being on The Coast playing so many of my favourite tunes in a part of the country I love. It's going to be a great way to chill out on Saturday and Sunday evenings."

Carlos is married to Claire and at weekends they can often be found walking along the beach at Sandbanks or shopping for a bargain at Gunwharf Quays.
