Hampshire soldier's posthumous award

Bomb disposal expert from Winchester honoured.
An army bomb disposal expert from Hampshire - hailed by his commanding officer as the bravest man he had ever met - has been awarded the George Cross.
Staff Sergeant Olaf Schmid from Winchester was killed in Afghanistan in October. He died when an improvised explosive device went off in Sangin.
His widow Christina has been presented with her husband's medal, saying he would have been really proud that their work had been recognised in such a way.
