Three teenage girls approached in Baffins.

Hampshire Police are trying to find a man involved in an indecent incident involving a girl.

A 13-year-old girl was touched inappropriately by a man who had just parked his van in the middle of the road in Portsmouth, on Sunday evening.

When he got back to his vehicle in the Baffins area, he then simulated an indecent act towards the girl and her two friends.

The girls then screamed and ran off.

The man police want to speak to is described as:

*       White with a tan
*       Aged around 50
*       Average build
*       Short dark, possibly grey, hair
*       Between 5ft 4ins and 5ft 6ins
*       Wearing dark coloured trousers, a black jacket, white shirt and glasses
*       He was driving a white/grey van, similar to a transit van, or possibly a people carrier.

PC Nicola Rose, said: "This incident has been very distressing for the victim and her friends.  The incident occurred in a residential area and at a time where people would have been out and about in the area.  Did you see what happened?  Did you see the offender in the area?

"I would ask anyone with any information to come forward and help us find the man responsible."

Anyone with any information relevant to this incident should contact PC Rose at Fratton police station by calling 101, or calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Callers from outside Hampshire and the Isle of White should call 0845 045 45 45.
