HMS Brocklesby returns after six months away.

Portsmouth has welcomed back one of its naval fleet.

HMS Brocklesby has returned from what the Royal Navy's calling a successful six months away in the Mediterranean, North Sea and Baltic.

Disposal teams had to deal with six aircraft bombs - three of which had to be raised from the seabed to be clear of underwater pipelines before being destroyed.

The ship's commanding officer, Lieutenant Commander Tom Tredray, says the ship's crew is now looking forward to some time off.

HMS Brocklesby came alongside at Portsmouth Naval Base on Monday morning.
