The Coast is the regional 'adult alternative' radio station for the Solent region and, under the requirements of our licence agreement with the regulator Ofcom, we are required to keep a public file. This public file is intended to give you an understanding of our music, news and regional content.
Each commercial station also has a 'Format' which governs the station's character of service. The format for The Coast can be found on the Ofcom website here.

Event and Charity Support
The Coast recently supported The AAIR charity (Reg No. 803715) as part of the Festival Of Dance.
Additionally, The Coast supported The Portsmouth News Sports Awards on the 24th February, 2009.
